The Lord’s Prayer: To the Catechumens

'Our Father who art in heaven.' In these few words He to whom you are to pray has
Himself granted you the theme of praying, the subject matter to ask for, and the norm
of making petition. He made this grant that from it you might get the feel of praying,
obtain an understanding of how to request, gather a measure of your petitioning, and
take most ample training from this brief instruction on prayer; also, because as a token
of love the King Himself has performed the function of an advocate, in order to dictate
the prayers which He intends to answer. Every hesitation in asking has been taken away;
yes, more, full confidence of meriting an answer has been given, since He who is being
asked finds His very self in the prayers.

He Is Risen, Alleluia!

"He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place
where he lay" (Matthew 28:6).

Keep watch, Dear Lord

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this
night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick,
Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering,
pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love's sake. Amen.

Over Coming Fears and Trials

Difficulties and trials, evaluated only from a human point of view, are truly
terrible, awful and hopeless. But the same trials viewed through the prism
of the Divine light, do not scare or frighten, but are part of the amazing path
in which Christ leads us to the Father’s House.

Evening Prayer

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep
this night; and give Your Angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend the sick, give rest to the weary. Sustain the dying, calm the
suffering, and pity the distressed; all for Your love’s sake, O Christ
our Redeemer. Amen.
